On Friday, 16 December 2016, in the afternoon at 12:50, in Kaunas, on Birželio 23-iosios street near No. 9, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault and an Opel Combo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Renault (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
