On Saturday, 17 December 2016, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Utenos district municipality, Leliūnų town, on Ežero street near No. 22, a MTZ hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the MTZ (40 years of driving experience), who violated vehicle-towing rules. He was drunk (2.01‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered.
