On Monday, 26 December 2016, in the evening at around 17:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on Chemikų street near No. 1, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320 and a Mazda 323. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
