On Sunday, 8 January 2017, in the afternoon at 13:04, in Vilnius, on Kairėnų street, at the junction with Ajerų street, a Volkswagen Sharan hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.33‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
