On Wednesday, 15 February 2017, in the morning at 7:51, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Daugai–Skabeikiai–Dusmenys regional road (kilometre 1), a Ford Galaxy ran off the road. Two people were injured — a 8-year-old passenger of the Ford (hospitalized) and a 16-year-old passenger of the Ford (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Ford (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
