On Saturday, 18 February 2017, in the evening at around 22:00, in Vilnius, on Iešmininkų street, at the junction with Tunelio street, a Peugeot 306 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Peugeot (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.60‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. A 30-year-old passenger of the Peugeot was drunk (1.67‰). A 30-year-old passenger of the Peugeot was drunk (1.80‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
