On Saturday, 25 February 2017, at night at around 1:00, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr. near No. 32, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra, a Volkswagen Passat, a Toyota Paseo, a BMW 5er Reihe and a Subaru Legacy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Opel (1 year of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs and failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.63‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
