On Saturday, 25 February 2017, in the afternoon at 14:26, in Biržų district municipality, on Astravo street near No. 28, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C5 registered in Great Britain and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
