On Monday, 6 March 2017, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Labardžių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 226.40), a Mercedes-Benz Actros 1844 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was a blizzard, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
