On Saturday, 11 March 2017, in the evening at 18:45, in Vilnius, on Gelvonų street near No. 23, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323, a Toyota Prius and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
