Unlicensed moped driver hits an obstacle in Šiaulių district
On Monday, 27 March 2017, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Stoties street near No. 16, a moped hit an obstacle. One person was injured — the 16-year-old driver of a moped (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
