On Tuesday, 4 April 2017, at night at 23:30, in Šilalės district municipality, Prapymo village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 244.99), a Scania ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Scania (30 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
