Hit-and-run Volkswagen driver and Mercedes-Benz crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Thursday, 6 April 2017, in the morning at 10:30, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 27), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Caddy and a Mercedes-Benz Vito 115 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
