On Thursday, 1 June 2017, in the afternoon at 15:54, in Vilnius, on Metalo street near No. 11, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings, violated overtaking rules, failed to give way when changing direction and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
