On Friday, 2 June 2017, at night at 23:26, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 18.80), a BMW 530 registered in Latvia hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
