On Wednesday, 21 June 2017, in the evening at 17:42, in Lazdijų district municipality, Dyviliškių village, on the Lazdijai–Akmeniai national road (kilometre 6.03), a collision with barriers occurred. The accident involved a BMW BMW5/1 registered in Austria. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
