On Sunday, 2 July 2017, in the morning at 6:28, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 17.50), a Peugeot Boxer rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
