On Thursday, 10 August 2017, in the afternoon at 15:09, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Akademija–Šlapaberžė–Berželė regional road (kilometre 1.16), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane and a Volkswagen Crafter. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Renault. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
