On Thursday, 10 August 2017, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 120, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Midlum 240.18 and a BMW 5ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Renault (32 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
