On Saturday, 19 August 2017, in the afternoon at 16:12, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Kelmė–Gaštynai–Kalniškiai–Klėtiškė regional road (kilometre 15.50), an Audi 80 Avant rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi. He was drunk (2.22‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
