On Saturday, 9 September 2017, in the morning at 9:05, in Šakių district municipality, Šilgalių village, on the Šakiai–Prūseliai regional road (kilometre 2.97), an Opel Zafira rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.59‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
