On Monday, 11 September 2017, in the evening at 19:30, in Kaunas, on V. Krėvės pr. near No. 108, a Skoda 14 TR 13 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 2-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 35-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Skoda (30 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
