On Thursday, 14 September 2017, in the evening at 20:26, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Ariogala–Betygala–Šiluva regional road (kilometre 29.11), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a horse-drawn cart and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 56-year-old cart driver, who committed cart driving, riding or herding animals at night or in poor visibility without a hi-vis reflective vest. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
