On Friday, 15 September 2017, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Švenčionių district municipality, Linkonių village, on the Lazdiniai–Subatiškė regional road (kilometre 1), a collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW X5 and a Mitsubishi Pajero. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
