Toyota Corolla hits pedestrians at a crossing on Vilniaus g., Molėtai
On Wednesday, 20 September 2017, in the evening at 19:34, in Molėtų district municipality, on Vilniaus street near No. 67, a Toyota Corolla hit two pedestrians at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 61-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 59-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 78-year-old driver of the Toyota (30 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
