Drunk Volkswagen driver hits a parked BMW and flees on Šiltnamių street, Druskininkai
On Thursday, 21 September 2017, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Druskininkų municipality, on Šiltnamių street near No. 20, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
