Hit-and-run Toyota driver and Peugeot crash at Geležinio Vilko and Saltoniškių streets, Vilnius
On Thursday, 21 September 2017, in the evening at 18:04, in Vilnius, on Geležinio Vilko street, at the junction with Saltoniškių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis Verso and a Peugeot 508. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Toyota (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
