On Saturday, 30 September 2017, at night at 2:30, in Klaipėda, on Perkėlos street near No. 10, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH 42T, a trailer/semi-trailer > 10 t, a Schmitz SCS 24 and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Volvo (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
