On Saturday, 25 November 2017, in the afternoon at 14:12, in Druskininkų municipality, Panemunės village, on Panemunės street near No. 9, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
