On Wednesday, 13 December 2017, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr. near No. 183, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo registered in Poland, a Krone SDP27 registered in Poland, a Toyota Avensis and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
