On Thursday, 14 December 2017, in the afternoon at 14:40, in Rietavo municipality, Lėgų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 256.50), a Suzuki Grand Vitara rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Suzuki (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, there was a blizzard, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
