On Thursday, 14 December 2017, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl. near No. 32A, a Mazda 323 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was icy.
