On Friday, 15 December 2017, in the afternoon at 15:41, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Onuškis–Butrimonys–Punia regional road (kilometre 21), an Audi 80 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.43‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
