On Tuesday, 19 December 2017, in the morning at 8:40, in Kalvarijos municipality, Žiogaičių village, on the Salaperaugis–Liubavas–Aleksandravas regional road (kilometre 8), a Land Rover Range Rover Sport registered in Germany ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Land Rover (14 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
