On Monday, 7 August 2017, in the evening at 22:30, in Marijampolės municipality, on Klaipėdos street near No. 1, an Audi registered in Great Britain hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 60-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Audi (10 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
