Ford Transit hits pedestrians at a crossing on Jaunystės g., Visaginas
On Thursday, 4 January 2018, in the afternoon at 16:55, in Visagino municipality, on Jaunystės street near No. 15, a Ford Transit hit two pedestrians at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 58-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 65-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Ford (34 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
