On Friday, 5 January 2018, in the afternoon at 13:45, in Klaipėda, on Smiltelės street, at the junction with Vingio street, an Evobus hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 7-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Evobus (22 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
