Fiat Punto hits a pedestrian at a crossing on the Molėtai–Anykščiai road
On Tuesday, 9 January 2018, in the evening at 18:50, in Anykščių district municipality, on J. Biliūno street, at the junction with Liudiškių street, a Fiat Punto hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 89-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Fiat (4 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
