On Friday, 12 January 2018, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaunas, on Šarkuvos street near No. 1A, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota RAV4 and a Porsche Cayenne. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 79-year-old driver of the Toyota (47 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
