On Thursday, 18 January 2018, in the afternoon at 11:06, in Kretingos district municipality, Žibininkų village, on Liepų street, at the junction with Mokyklos g., a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Yaris, a CMT and a Scania. Two people were injured — the 57-year-old driver of the Toyota (hospitalized) and a 28-year-old passenger of the Toyota (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Toyota (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
