On Friday, 19 January 2018, in the afternoon at 11:49, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Paraseinys–Alėjai–Lioliai–Kelmė regional road (kilometre 3.31), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis and an Opel Meriva. Three people were injured — a 70-year-old passenger of the Opel (hospitalized), a 41-year-old passenger of the Toyota (hospitalized) and a 63-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Toyota (25 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
