On Friday, 19 January 2018, in the evening at around 18:00, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Žemaitijos street, at the junction with Naftininkų street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vivaro and a Mazda 6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Opel (10 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. Both drivers were sober.
