On Thursday, 1 February 2018, in the morning at around 9:00, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 42), an Audi Q5 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
