On Tuesday, 13 February 2018, in the morning at around 7:00, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Vilainiai–Šventybrastis–Krekenava regional road (kilometre 17), a BMW 316I registered in Poland rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW (11 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
