On Thursday, 5 April 2018, in the evening at 18:33, in Kaunas, on Užšilių street near No. 71, a Mazda 323 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
