On Sunday, 8 April 2018, in the evening at 19:40, in Šilalės district municipality, Gatautiškės village, on the Telšiai–Varniai–Laukuva national road (kilometre 41.82), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a vehicle, a Honda Civic 5DR and a Volkswagen Passat.
