On Monday, 16 April 2018, in the morning at around 6:00, in Visagino municipality, on Statybininkų street near No. 3, in a yard, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Mitsubishi Outlander. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.46‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
