Drunk Audi driver and Volkswagen crash on Dariaus ir Girėno street, Žemaičių Naumiestis
On Tuesday, 24 April 2018, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street near No. 19, at a pedestrian crossing, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Volkswagen Passat. One person was injured — the 47-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Audi, who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (2.60‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
