On Monday, 14 May 2018, in the evening at around 17:00, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street near No. 109, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 208 CDI hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (2 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
