On Friday, 25 May 2018, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Rietavo municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 265), an Opel Zafira hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Opel (44 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
